Thematic councils

FIEPA has seven thematic councils. These councils are permanent technical groups that assist the institution with industrial sector activities and campaigns. Each council's activities cover areas related to social and economic development, such as taxes, logistics, and clean energy.

Thematic Infrastructure Council (COINFRA)

The Infrastructure Thematic Council (Coinfra) aims to assess and monitor the availability and quality of infrastructure in Pará. It proposes proposals for expanding and modernizing the transportation, ports, airports, sanitation, energy, and telecommunications systems. It also monitors and makes proposals for improving the regulatory frameworks in these sectors.

Thematic Council for Social Responsibility (CORES)

The Social Responsibility Thematic Council (Cores) advises the board of directors of the Federation of Industries of the State of Pará (FIEPA) on social responsibility policies and their integrated development. Cores' role is to map companies' approaches to social issues, their results, and prospects for sustainability and dissemination, while also promoting the dissemination of successful examples and practices of corporate social responsibility.

The Thematic Council for the Environment and Sustainability (Coemas) works to improve environmental legislation, encourages conservation practices and efficient use of natural resources, and formulates guidelines and strategies to support the decision-making process and FIEPA's positioning on the environmental and sustainability agenda.

Thematic Council for Legislative Affairs (CAL)

The Legislative Affairs Council (CAL) aims to analyze and guide FIEPA's political action, focusing on monitoring and defending interests in the legislative process. It also articulates political support for projects important to the industrial sector and disseminates FIEPA's positions on projects currently under consideration.

Thematic Council for Micro and Small Enterprises (COMPEM)

The Thematic Council for Micro and Small Enterprises (Compem) promotes debate and formulates policy proposals to encourage the expansion of small businesses. It conducts studies and proposes strategies to help micro and small businesses invest in technological innovation, business training, and access to the international market.

Thematic Council on Labor Relations (CRT)

The Thematic Council on Labor Relations (CRT) presents proposals for changes to labor legislation and reforms, in accordance with the principles of modernization and harmony in capital-labor relations. It examines labor market trends, employment and wage policies in Brazil, legislation, and international labor relations.

Thematic Council for Tax and Fiscal Affairs (CONTRIF)

The Council on Tax and Fiscal Affairs (CONTRIF) analyzes tax and fiscal matters affecting the industrial sector, monitoring the work carried out within the executive, legislative, and judicial branches. It suggests topics for action to defend interests in tax and fiscal matters, in addition to formulating public policy proposals to contribute to the quality of the tax and fiscal system and the country's development.
