Pará will have room to diversify exports with the opening of new doors to the Canadian market.

Promoted by the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (CCBC) and FIEPA CIN, the Road Show aims to help diversify the export portfolio of Pará, which is currently more concentrated in minerals.

Calcined alumina, bauxite, and kaolin currently account for virtually all of Pará's exports to Canada. However, the state wants to broaden this scope and attract new Canadian trading partners to other sectors of the Pará economy, ranging from agribusiness to the manufacturing industry. It is with this objective that businesspeople, executives, and representatives of institutions will meet in Belém on September 30th for the Pará-Canada Road Show. Registration is available through the FIEPA website or via the following link:https://bit.ly/RoadShowCanada.

The event, which will take place from 9 am to 5 pm at the Events Hall of the Federation of Industries of the State of Pará (FIEPA) in Belém, will be held by the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (CCBC) in partnership with FIEPA itself and the Pará International Business Center (FIEPA CIN), with support from FIEPA Redes. In addition to attending presentations on opportunities in the Canadian market, participants will be able to schedule individual conversations with CCBC specialists for personalized assistance.

The goal during this chat is to encourage executives to talk about their companies and also to clarify any specific questions about the international relations to be fostered.

With the theme " Amazonian Products Connected to New Opportunities in the International Market ," the program aims to present ways for companies from Pará to expand their presence abroad, as well as promote connections with potential partners and deepen knowledge about the possibilities of accessing the Canadian market. The event will address all types of opportunities between the two countries, such as export, import, research and development, innovation, and investment.

“The state of Pará has a number of characteristics and sectors with great potential to expand its presence in the international market,” says Arminio Calonga, business consultant at the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (CCBC). “The purpose of the Road Show is precisely to bring companies from Pará closer to the opportunities that exist in Canada, to present ways to access this market, and to create connections that can translate into new businesses and partnerships,” he added.

Between January and July 2026, exports from Pará to Canada totaled approximately US$322 million, mainly concentrated in mineral products. Calcined alumina led the list, with approximately US$254 million exported during the period, followed by uncalcined bauxite, with US$39 million, and kaolin, with approximately US$20 million. These figures highlight the importance of the mineral sector in the current trade relationship between the state and the North American country, but also indicate room for diversification and expansion of the presence of other products from Pará in the Canadian market.

Throughout the Road Show, entrepreneurs and participants will have the opportunity to learn more about the Canadian business environment, identify new internationalization opportunities, and discuss strategies to strengthen trade between Pará and Canada. The initiative also seeks to create a networking environment between companies, organizations, and professionals interested in developing international connections.

“Pará has a diversified industry and products with very specific characteristics of the Amazon, which can find new opportunities in the international market. We have potential in different sectors, from bioeconomy and food to mining, forestry products and other industrial chains. The Road Show is an opportunity to present this productive capacity to the Canadian market, bring our companies closer to potential partners and expand business possibilities between Pará and Canada,” highlights Cassandra Lobato, manager of the International Business Center of FIEPA.

The partnership between CCBC, FIEPA, and CIN-PA reinforces the importance of institutional cooperation in connecting companies from Pará with opportunities abroad. The goal is to provide information, answer questions, and promote networking among organizations and entrepreneurs seeking to expand their businesses, explore international markets, and establish commercial relationships with Canadian partners.
