The world's largest air conditioner manufacturer, Gree Electric Appliances, in partnership with SENAI (National Service for Industrial Training), inaugurated a new air conditioning laboratory this Wednesday (November 12th) at the SENAI Getúlio Vargas unit in Belém. This collaboration brings Gree's advanced technologies and equipment to the state of Pará, further expanding its technical training network in the country. Prior to this, Gree had already inaugurated laboratories in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Manaus in partnership with SENAI, strengthening its presence with the opening of this fourth facility.

The new laboratory is equipped with residential and light commercial appliances supplied by Gree, including Split High Wall, Cassette, Multisplit and Window models, as well as heavy-duty commercial VRF systems. The space integrates the SENAI educational facilities and will be used continuously in courses and training focused on refrigeration and air conditioning, especially for students of refrigeration technician and refrigeration mechanic courses, providing a practical environment aligned with the real demands of the sector.

The partnership reinforces Gree's long-term commitment to developing local talent and disseminating advanced technologies in Brazil. Gree Brazil's Vice President, Nicolaus Cheng, emphasizes:

“We believe that access to cutting-edge technology and quality training is essential to boosting the air conditioning sector in Brazil. The laboratory inaugurated in Belém reinforces our partnership with SENAI and reaffirms Gree's commitment to training a new generation of professionals, creating opportunities, and strengthening the local technical workforce.”

According to Dário Lemos, regional director of SENAI Pará, the arrival of the new laboratory represents an important step forward for the region's industrial sector.

“SENAI is a benchmark in vocational training and technological innovation. Through the partnership with Gree, we will strengthen the preparation of our students to work in an increasingly demanding market connected to new technologies,” he highlighted.

Present in Brazil since 2001, Gree has a factory in Manaus covering approximately 100,000 square meters and employing over 1,500 people, serving the entire national market with efficient and innovative products. The opening of the Belém laboratory marks the expansion of the cooperation model between Gree and SENAI to the Northern region, strengthening the training of professionals in the local refrigeration and air conditioning sector.
