United Industry: Documentary portrays the strength of the reconstruction of Rio Grande do Sul.

Shown on November 12th at FIEPA headquarters during the parallel programming for COP30, the documentary showcases the largest mobilization operation ever carried out by the federations of industries and reinforces the commitment of the Industry System to the reconstruction of Rio Grande do Sul and the tackling of climate challenges.
The documentary depicting the largest disaster response operation in the history of Brazilian industrial federations was screened on the evening of November 12th at the headquarters of the Federation of Industries of the State of Pará (FIEPA), as part of the parallel programming for COP30 in Belém. The production highlights the mobilization of the Industry System in support of Rio Grande do Sul after the floods that hit the state in the first half of the year, reinforcing the role of industry in the reconstruction of affected communities and businesses.
The film shows how solidarity and unity among the federations were fundamental in facing the most critical moment in the state's recent history. The action, led by the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (FIERGS), had the support of the National Council of SESI, the CNI, and federations from all over the country, including FIEPA.
In total, R$ 65 million was mobilized, benefiting more than 80 municipalities, with 143,000 donated items, 420,000 health services provided, and 8,000 public school students receiving school equipment.
The president of FIERGS, Cláudio Bier, highlighted that the documentary is a historical record of the strength of the people and industry of Rio Grande do Sul, and a reminder of the social role of the productive sector. “From day one, we knew that FIERGS' role was to be present, not only supporting companies, but also caring for people. What we show in this documentary is the industry's capacity to act with solidarity and efficiency, even in the most extreme situations. Rebuilding is not just about erecting buildings, it's about rebuilding lives, communities, and hopes,” he stated.
According to the superintendent of SESI Pará, Dário Lemos, the documentary highlights the value of cooperation between states and the collective learning that arises from adversity. “Sometimes we think it’s not happening to us, but it is. And what we saw was a united, strong system that shows the greatness of industry: unity,” he emphasized.
CNI advisor Fausto Junior pointed out that the episode in the South transformed how the country views climate challenges. "If there was any doubt about climate change, what happened in Rio Grande do Sul changed everything. It's no longer a debate, it's a real challenge," he said.
More than just an audiovisual record, the documentary establishes itself as a symbol of the solidarity, strength, and responsiveness of the Industrial System in the face of major challenges. An example of unity and commitment to the sustainable future of the country.
